The biggest difference

Currency on its own, or alongside WPML.

WPML is built for translation first. WC Currency Switch is built for currency, and it works with WPML when you need both.

WPML Multicurrency

  1. 1Part of a larger translation suite.
  2. 2Caching needs developer work, and WPML's docs warn CDN caching can show the wrong currency.
  3. 3Location detection needs a MaxMind key.

WC Currency Switch

  1. 1A focused currency plugin with caching built in.
  2. 2Reads your CDN's country, so no extra key is needed.
  3. 3If WCML is active, WC Currency Switch hands conversion to it and keeps the switcher in sync.

Pricing

What it costs.

The WooCommerce Multilingual plugin is free, but WooCommerce support needs a paid WPML plan from CMS up.

FAQ

Common questions.

Something else? Ask us.

Can I run WPML Multicurrency and WC Currency Switch at the same time?

We don't recommend it. Two currency plugins will both try to convert prices. Set up WC Currency Switch on a staging copy, then deactivate WPML Multicurrency when you go live.

No. WooCommerce saves the currency on each order, so orders placed with WPML Multicurrency keep their currency and totals.

No. Instead, every plan includes every feature, and you can try the live demo on our homepage before you buy.

Do you offer refunds?
