The short version
- The plugin is provided "as is". Keep backups and test changes on a staging site.
- Exchange rates come from third parties and can be late or wrong. You are responsible for the prices your store shows and charges.
- Nothing here is financial, tax or legal advice.
- Comparisons with other plugins are our honest research at the time, not a guarantee.
- Other brand names belong to their owners, and we aren't affiliated with them.
- Your local consumer rights still apply.
The full disclaimers below are what apply.
01About this page
WC Currency Switch is a WooCommerce plugin made by Nahnu Plugins, a brand of Nahnu Fitness LLC in Washington State, United States ("we", "us").
These disclaimers cover the plugin, the wccurrencyswitch.com website, our documentation, comparison pages, the live demo, the customer dashboard, updates and support. They are part of our Terms of Use and apply alongside them.
02No warranty
As far as the law allows, WC Currency Switch and our services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. That includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
We don't promise the plugin will work with every theme, plugin, payment gateway, cache or host, or that it will be free of errors or always available. Legal rights that can't be excluded still apply.
03Exchange rates and prices
WC Currency Switch converts and displays prices. It is not a bank, payment processor, currency exchange or financial service.
- Rates come from third parties. Providers like Frankfurter, ExchangeRate-API, Open Exchange Rates, currencyapi or your own feed can be delayed, missing, wrong or stop working. Rates change constantly, and the rate a shopper sees may differ from the rate a bank or card company uses.
- Your prices are your responsibility. Check the rates, fees, rounding, fixed prices and final amounts your store shows and charges. We are not responsible for lost sales, losses on exchange, underpricing, overpricing or refunds caused by rates or prices.
- Payment gateways decide what they accept. Whether a gateway can charge in a currency, and how it converts or settles payments, is up to the gateway and your account with it.
- Card fees and conversions. Banks and card companies may add their own conversion or foreign transaction fees. Those are outside the plugin's control.
04Not financial, tax or legal advice
Nothing on our website, in the plugin, our documentation or our support is financial, tax, accounting or legal advice.
Selling in more than one currency can affect your taxes, invoices, accounting, price display rules and consumer law duties. Those depend on where you and your shoppers are. Please talk to a qualified accountant or lawyer about your situation.
05Location detection
Detecting a shopper's country is a best guess. CDN country headers and IP lookup services can be wrong, for example when a shopper uses a VPN, a proxy, a mobile network or a work connection. Lookup services can also be slow, limited or unavailable.
Make sure shoppers can always choose their own currency, and don't rely on detected location for anything legal, such as tax, sanctions or age checks.
06Privacy and legal compliance
The plugin sets a currency cookie and, if you choose an IP lookup service, sends shoppers' IP addresses to it. Using WC Currency Switch doesn't make your store compliant with GDPR, CCPA or any other law by itself.
Compliance depends on your whole store, including your other plugins, your hosting and your privacy notice. You are responsible for it. Our Privacy Policy explains what the plugin does.
07Your sites and backups
You are responsible for your stores. Before you install, update or change the plugin's settings:
- Back up your site. Keep a full, recent backup of your files and database.
- Test on staging. Try big changes on a copy of your store first, including a test checkout in each currency.
- Keep things updated. Run supported versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, your theme and your plugins.
- Check the result. Look at your prices, cart and checkout on desktop and mobile after any change.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for lost data, lost orders, wrong prices, broken layouts or downtime.
08Speed and caching
WC Currency Switch is built to work with page caching and CDNs, but results depend on your hosting, theme, cache setup and other plugins. Speed figures and test results on our website are examples, not guarantees. Check your cache rules after setup so shoppers don't see cached prices in the wrong currency.
09Integrations and other services
Our integrations page lists the themes, builders and plugins we have tested or built support for. Those products are made by other companies and can change at any time. An integration may stop working until we update the plugin, and "partial" support means some features may not work.
Rate providers, IP lookup services, CDNs, payment gateways, SureCart and Stripe are run by others under their own terms, and can change, limit or stop their services.
10Comparisons with other plugins
Our comparison pages are based on our own research, using each product's public website, documentation, pricing and, where available, its free version, at the date we checked. They reflect our opinion.
- Other plugins change their features, prices and plans, so details may be out of date. Please check the other company's website before you decide.
- We aren't affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the companies we compare with.
- If you make one of these products and spot something wrong, tell us through our support form and we will correct it.
11Website, demo and documentation
Our website, live demo and documentation are for general information. They may contain mistakes or be out of date. The prices in the live demo are examples only, and are not an offer.
Numbers on our website, such as how many currencies, integrations or languages the plugin supports, describe version 1.0.0 and may change. Prices and plan details at checkout, and the current version of the plugin, are what apply. Test any code example before you use it on a live store.
12Trademarks
"WC Currency Switch", "Nahnu Plugins" and their logos belong to Nahnu Fitness LLC.
WordPress, WooCommerce and every other product, company or service name on our website belong to their owners. We use them only to describe compatibility or make comparisons. WC Currency Switch is not made, affiliated with or endorsed by WordPress, WooCommerce, Automattic or any other company we mention.
13Links to other sites
We link to other websites for convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
14Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, sales, revenue, data or goodwill, even if we were told they were possible.
Our total liability for all claims about WC Currency Switch and our services is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
15Your consumer rights
Some places don't allow some of these exclusions or limits, so they apply only as far as the law allows where you live.
Nothing on this page limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or takes away consumer rights you have by law.
